Some things are so vulgar that they're almost impossible to describe using sentences that don’t contain an excessive number of four letter words but, in one of the most disgusting acts ever committed by a school (if you can call it that), Capella University has hired one of the biggest horse’s ass ever born – Shawn Ambrose.
The fact that the liars at Capella University, including but not limited to:
- Michael Offerman, President
- Greg Thom, Chief Shyster and Vice President,
- Karen Viechnicki, Provost, and, of course, their incompetent Dean (who can’t spell, let alone tell the truth)
- Kurt Linberg
have hired one of their students who, as they all well know, has actively engaged in badgering, stalking, harassing, etc. at least one other student for nearly two years. Of course, this provides prime face evidence as to the type of thugs Capella University will hire.
It cannot be disputed that Capella University hires and retains other incompetent charlatans as instructors, such as Diane Stottlemyer who purchased “graduate degrees” from a well-known diploma mill, Lacrosse University. Not only is Diane Stottlemyer a key figure in the current lawsuit against Capella University for her (and Capella’s) intentional retaliation against a student and their bigotry against students with disabilities but for these same thugs to hire Shawn Ambrose is an insult to decency. Both, of course, are currently listed as faculty in Capella’s January 2006 catalog.
In order to provide some background information on Shawn Ambrose, it is important to note that he may be found posting all over the Internet using a wide variety of nicknames, the most common being “Capella Rocks.” He regularly touts his connections with Capella University while attacking students. He may also be found discussing his “positions” as a “faculty member” at a couple of schools, including the esteemed Andrew Jackson University (http://www.aju.edu/faculty/sdambrose.htm ) and at Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwa Community College, Wisconsin. As with all goodie-two-shoes, Shawn Ambrose posted a job opening for that school at: http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22572
Of course, these types of things are minor compared to the harassment he subjects Capella students to. It is a fact that that Shawn Ambrose:
- Actively badgers and harasses students that he:
- Had never taken any classes with
- Wasn’t enrolled in the same school or program
- Subjects Capella students to his abuse even when he wasn’t taking any classes at the same time as that student
- Launches on personal vendettas against those who file lawful and highly appropriate complaints against Capella University with Federal law enforcement agencies. Of course, Shawn Ambrose was never personally involved, or had any first-hand information regarding those complaints
- Regularly lies and fabricates facts about those who speak out against the abusive practices at Capella University
- Comes to the defense of other blatantly incompetent charlatans, such as Diane Stottlemyer
- Fabricates and then spreads false information that can only be obtained from sources such as students private educational records in his vile attempt to defame others (of course, that’s a violation of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act or “FERPA”) – Ambrose was reported on those violations many months ago.
- Actively seeks out every opportunity possible to spew his vitriolic vomit against others.
Of course, in his quest to make up facts and spread his lies, he also leaves a trail of other information on the Internet that provides a glimpse into his character (or lack of it). For example, a cursory look on the Internet reveals his “personal testimony” about being saved from his illustrious past with drug and alcohol abuse: this appears on New-Jerusalem.com, a Mormon web site at:

In contrast, in a post on another board, Shawn Ambrose makes light of his days on the bottle. Specially, one of his “buddies” states (http://books.dreambook.com/wsycfm/wsycfm.html):
“Hello Shawn Ambrose. I can't see you teaching, all I can see you doing is spinning around in the booth chair, drunk off your ass, trying to dj during ‘All-Star Weekend’.”
to which Shawn Ambrose replies:
“You paint an ugly picture of me - but it's true :-) Yes, I did a show or 2 "under the influence". But check this out, I haven't had a drink in 15 years (honest - I did grow up)”
Not only do his buddies seem to know something that Capella University doesn’t (“Shawn Ambrose. I can't see you teaching”) but, in light of his obsession with those who stand up to the unethical and illegal actions and activities at Capella University, we question whether Shawn Ambrose will ever grow up.
While we won’t bore readers with the seemingly endless numbers of posts and links to Shawn Ambrose’s personal vendetta against others (after all, the amount of bandwidth to view all of them might cause the entire Internet to crash) the fact is that as of yesterday (January 4, 2006), Shawn Ambrose has continued his diatribe against those who stand up against abuse.
Like the other thugs at Capella University who abuse students, Shawn Ambrose, as one of their employees who, as noted above, continues to spew his venom to this very day, has now earned himself a deposition in the current lawsuit as an official agent of Capella University.
In closing, we can only ask readers to consider if they would be willing to pay for just two classes at Capella University (cost, including books, would run approximately $4,000) from Diane Stottlemyer and Shawn Ambrose. Just think what a great value that would be! If Diane Stottlemyer doesn’t personally engage in retaliation against you, then perhaps Shawn Ambrose will launch a personal vendetta all over the Internet. Gosh, what a bargain! Caveat Emptor!
